ANNE HÄMÄLÄINEN
ANNA AHMATOVA FONTANKAN TALOSSA Kolmas kirjani sijoittuu venäläisen runoilija Anna Ahmatovan (1889-1966)
ANNA AKHMATOVA IN THE HOUSE ON THE FONTANKA My third book is centered around the home museum of Russian modernist poet Anna Akhmatova (1889–1966) in St. Petersburg. She lived in this 18th century building from the 1920s to the 1940s. I have attempted to capture the dramatic austerity of her home in my photographs, interspersed by photos from the museum’s archives. Sanni Seppo’s collages, which combine these two, play an important role in the book. Pirjo Aaltonen’s text details Akhmatova’s life and poetry during the time she lived in the Fontanka House. The first edition of Anna Ahmatova Fontankan talossa (Anna Akhmatova in the House on the Fontanka) was published by Into Kustannus in 2012 and the second edition came out in 2015. The similarly titled exhibition has been shown in Finland and in Russia. |
